Don Zhang – Founder, President and CEO.

Dr. Zhang has more than 16 yrs on operational, financial and strategic roles in the biotech industry. Leading a scientific team to complete Icotinib’s R&D. More than 10 yrs experience on oncology drug R&D. Dr. Zhang holds Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from University of Maryland. Dr. Zhang received her B.Sc. from University of Nanzhou.

Shaojing Hu – Vice President of Research responsible for all drug R&D programs in Betapharma.

Dr. Hu has more than 10 yrs experience in drug R&D at USA pharmaceutical industry and experience in translating basic science into clinical testing with solid therapeutic product orientation. Holding more than 20 patents and 15 scientific publications. Dr. Hu holds Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from Simon Fraser University, a postdoctal research fellow at Yale University studying Chemical Biology and natural product total synthesis. Dr. Hu received his B.Sc. from University of Xiangtan.

Hong Xu, M.D., Ph.D – Vice President of Corporate Development responsible for business strategy and partnership. Dr. Xu has 15 years experience at Pfizer in both research and business development. She was responsible for identifying novel disease targets, assay development that led to two research collaborations. During her tenure with Pfizer business development, Dr. Xu led multiple licensing teams in cardiovascular, diabetes, bone disorders, oncology, infectious diseases and gastrointestinal therapy areas that completed several licensing and acquisitions deals. Dr. Xu holds Ph.D in Molecular Biology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and then became a postdoctal research fellow at Harvard Medical School studying molecular immunology. Dr. Xu received her M.D. from Beijing University Medical School.
